  Here’s a riddle. Who has $275 of my money for a tax return and still charged me $175 three days later for an amended return? No other accountant charges for an amended return after you’ve already paid for a return, but as others have said on here, there’s no other accountant quite like Ed Murphy. Or at least I think it’s Ed Murphy, considering that he would neither return my call or get on the phone with me directly to discuss the $175 amendment fee, but instead had some guy named Alan speak to me who kindly told me that the neither Ed nor the office sets the fees, but that “it’s dictated to them by the software they use”. So, the answer to the riddle? No self respecting, customer valueing accountant would ever do that. But Ed Murphy did.
